Rental Terms and Conditions

Welcome to FRENTS. Please carefully review the following Rental Terms and Conditions before completing your booking. By renting a vehicle from FRENTS, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below.

1. Eligibility

  • Renters must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Renters must possess a valid driver’s license, held for a minimum of 12 months, and present it upon pick-up.
  • An additional form of government-issued identification may be required at the time of rental.
  • Renters must provide a valid credit card under their name for security purposes.

2. Vehicle Usage

  • The vehicle may only be driven by the individual(s) listed on the rental agreement.
  • The vehicle must be used in accordance with local traffic laws and for lawful purposes only.
  • The renter is prohibited from using the vehicle for:
    • Commercial activities, including ride-sharing services, without prior approval.
    • Off-road driving or in areas deemed unsuitable for the vehicle.
    • Towing or carrying loads beyond the vehicle’s capacity.
  • Smoking, carrying hazardous materials, or transporting illegal substances in the vehicle is strictly prohibited.

3. Rental Period

  • The rental period is defined as the time between the scheduled pick-up and return date and time specified in the rental agreement.
  • Late returns may incur additional fees as outlined in the pricing policy.
  • Extensions to the rental period must be approved in advance and are subject to availability.

4. Payment and Security Deposit

  • Full payment for the rental must be made prior to or at the time of vehicle pick-up.
  • A security deposit may be required and will be refunded upon the return of the vehicle in its original condition, less any charges for damages, fuel, or overdue fees.
  • All charges, including rental fees, taxes, tolls, fines, and optional extras, will be outlined in the final invoice.

5. Insurance and Liability

  • Basic insurance coverage is included in the rental agreement. Renters may opt for additional coverage at an extra cost.
  • In the event of an accident, damage, or theft, the renter must:
    • Inform FRENTS immediately.
    • Provide a detailed incident report and cooperate with authorities, if necessary.
  • The renter is responsible for any damages, loss, or theft of the vehicle not covered by the insurance policy, up to the full value of the vehicle.

6. Fuel Policy

  • The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
  • If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for refueling, including an administrative fee.

7. Cancellations and Modifications

  • Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up will be eligible for a full refund.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Any modifications to the booking, including changes to the rental period or vehicle type, are subject to availability and additional charges.

8. Maintenance and Condition of the Vehicle

  • The vehicle will be delivered in clean and roadworthy condition.
  • The renter is responsible for maintaining the vehicle during the rental period, including monitoring oil levels, tire pressure, and any warning lights.
  • The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition as it was received, excluding normal wear and tear.

9. Breakdowns and Assistance

  • In the event of a breakdown, the renter must contact FRENTS immediately for assistance.
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications to the vehicle are strictly prohibited.

10. Fines and Penalties

  • The renter is responsible for any traffic violations, parking tickets, toll charges, or other penalties incurred during the rental period.
  • An administrative fee may apply for processing such fines.

11. Termination of Rental

  • FRENTS reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle without prior notice if the renter violates any of these terms.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Hellenic Republic. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Athens.
